Maine apne abodhta ke chano me
sansar ke har safal vyakti me
apne adarsh ko paya

unki tarah banna chaha
sapno me na jane
kitne hi kirdaaron ko nibha daala

umar ke paripakva mod par par
mujhe apne astitva ki
apni alag pahchan ki talaash hui

umar ke aakhiri mod par
khud ko dekhti hu
to paati hu
na hi khud ka astitva raha
aur na hi kisi ki chavi

Makar Sankranti in Hyderabad Initially the only memories I had of this festival were only of my hometown were people ate dahi chooda (curd and beaten rice) on this day. But in Hyderabad , I was mesmerized by the celebrations. Rangoli is indeed a ver important part of celebrations in South India. Whether its a festival, pooja , New Year , Independence day, Birthday or any other auspicious day , its a must. Ladies and Girls have expertise in making Rangolis and everyone is so good. On Makar Sankranti , every home will have Rangolis. The other thing is the Kite flying. I enjoyed it thoroughly and followed a lunch at colleague's place. I know that many people do not believe in things like astrology , Tarot Cards etc. but still there are many who do believe. We can see many prominent Tarot Card Readers now a days but have you seen parrot tarot cards reading. At least , I had only seen in movies and never expected that I would actually see this some day as it seemed to be too old fashioned. I saw this in Coimbatore(Tamil Nadu) and to my disbelief there were actual some Clients sitting with the Card Reader waiting for their fortune card to be picked by parrot. If we talk about its History - Parrot astrology originally came from South Indian, particularly Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Many turned to the parrot astrologers to have their fortunes told, particularly in times of uncertainty. But I never expected I will get to saw this in 2015 :)
